Client Connect Rewards

Terms and Conditions

Effective from: 19/08/2026

1. About Client Connect Rewards

Client Connect Rewards is a client referral programme operated by TALENT TODAY LTD, trading as Talent Today, company number 12772570, whose registered office is Suite 2a Blackhorn House, St Paul's Square, Birmingham, England, B3 1RL.

In these terms, “Talent Today”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the programme operator.

The programme rewards eligible individuals and businesses who introduce Talent Today to a new business that requires IT contract recruitment services.

Client Connect Rewards is for new client introductions. It does not apply to candidate or contractor referrals for individual vacancies.

By submitting a referral, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.

2. Who can participate

Client Connect Rewards is open to:

  • Individuals aged 18 or over who are resident in the United Kingdom.

  • UK-registered or UK-established businesses, where the person submitting the referral is authorised to act on their behalf.

  • Current and former Talent Today contractors.

  • Candidates, clients, former clients and other members of Talent Today’s professional network.

  • Individuals who have not previously worked with Talent Today, provided they meet these terms.

You do not need to be a current or former Talent Today contractor to participate.

The programme is not open to:

  • Employees or directors of Talent Today.

  • Anyone directly involved in administering the programme.

  • Recruitment agencies, recruitment consultants, professional introducers, brokers, affiliate marketers or lead-generation businesses, unless Talent Today has agreed separate terms with them in writing.

  • Anyone outside the United Kingdom, unless Talent Today has approved their participation in writing.

Talent Today may ask for reasonable evidence of your age, identity, address or authority to act for a business before accepting a referral or paying a reward.

3. What qualifies as a new client referral

A qualifying referral must introduce Talent Today to a genuine business contact who:

  • Hires IT contractors or has a genuine role in technology hiring, supplier selection or workforce planning.

  • Works for or represents a business that could reasonably use Talent Today’s IT contract recruitment services.

  • Has agreed to being introduced to Talent Today or contacted by Talent Today.

  • Is not already in active discussions with Talent Today.

  • Has not already been referred by someone else.

  • Meets the definition of a new client in these terms.

A referred business will normally be considered a new client if:

  • It is not currently receiving recruitment services from Talent Today.

  • Talent Today has not provided recruitment services to it during the previous 24 months.

  • Talent Today has not been in active discussions with it during the previous six months.

“Active discussions” means a genuine and ongoing business conversation involving matters such as a meeting, proposal, tender, recruitment terms, supplier negotiations or a live hiring requirement.

A historic record in Talent Today’s database or CRM will not, by itself, mean that a business is already in active discussions with us.

4. Registering a referral

To qualify for a reward, every referral must be registered through the official Client Connect Rewards referral form.

When completing the form, the referrer must provide:

  • Their name and contact details.

  • The referred contact’s name.

  • The referred contact’s job title and company.

  • The referred contact’s business email address or telephone number.

  • Information about their relationship with the contact.

  • Any relevant information about the business’s current or future IT contractor requirements.

  • Confirmation that the contact has agreed to the introduction or direct contact from Talent Today.

  • Any required conflict-of-interest information.

  • Confirmation that they have read and accepted these terms.

The referrer must choose one of the following introduction methods:

  1. The referrer will make a warm email introduction between the contact and Talent Today.

  2. Talent Today may contact the person directly because the person has expressly agreed to this.

A warm email introduction is encouraged, but it does not replace the requirement to register the referral through the official form.

5. Email introductions made before completing the form

If a referrer makes a warm email introduction before completing the form, Talent Today will ask them to register the referral through the official Client Connect Rewards form.

The referrer must complete the form within five working days of Talent Today sending the form link.

Provided the referral is complete and eligible, the date and time of the original warm introduction will be used when determining referral priority.

If the form is not completed within five working days, the original email introduction may no longer qualify for a reward.

A warm introduction on its own does not create an Accepted Referral.

Email introductions should be sent to or include:

[PENDING REFERRAL EMAIL ADDRESS]

Talent Today cannot guarantee that an introduction sent to a personal, unmonitored or incorrect email address will be identified as a Client Connect Rewards referral.

6. Contact permission

The referred contact must have agreed to:

  • Being introduced to Talent Today through a warm email introduction.

  • Being contacted directly by Talent Today.

The referrer must explain that:

  • Talent Today provides IT contract recruitment services.

  • The introduction is being made under Client Connect Rewards.

  • The referrer may receive a financial reward if the introduction results in qualifying business.

  • The contact’s details will be shared with Talent Today.

The referrer must not select the direct-contact option unless the contact has expressly agreed to being contacted by Talent Today.

7. Acceptance of a referral

Submitting a form or making an introduction does not automatically mean that the referral has been accepted.

Talent Today will review the information provided and will normally confirm whether the referral has been accepted within two working days of receiving the completed form.

A referral becomes an “Accepted Referral” only when Talent Today confirms its acceptance in writing.

Talent Today may reject a referral where there are reasonable grounds to believe that:

  • The referred business does not meet the eligibility requirements.

  • The business is an existing or recently active client.

  • Talent Today is already in active discussions with the business.

  • The contact has not agreed to the introduction or direct contact.

  • The referral was submitted retrospectively.

  • The information provided is incomplete, inaccurate or misleading.

  • Accepting or rewarding the referral could create a legal, regulatory, contractual or ethical conflict.

  • The referral breaches these terms.

Where reasonably possible, Talent Today will explain why a referral has not been accepted.

8. Retrospective referrals

Referrals cannot normally be made retrospectively.

The referral form must be submitted before Talent Today enters into substantive discussions with the referred contact or business.

The only exception is where a warm email introduction was made first and the referrer completes the form within the five-working-day period set out in section 5.

A referral will not qualify where the referrer attempts to claim a reward after Talent Today has already started discussions with the business independently.

9. Duplicate referrals

If the same business is referred by more than one person, the reward will normally belong to the first person who submitted a complete and eligible referral that Talent Today accepted.

Where a warm email introduction was made before the form was completed, the time of the original email may be used if the form was completed within the required five-working-day period.

Talent Today will use form records, email timestamps and its business records to determine which eligible referral was received first.

No reward will be divided between multiple referrers unless Talent Today agrees otherwise in writing before accepting the referral.

10. Related businesses and company groups

A referral may cover the referred business and another business within the same corporate group where:

  • The businesses use the same recruitment supplier agreement.

  • Recruitment is managed by the same central procurement or hiring team.

  • The placement results directly from the original introduction.

These businesses will be treated as one referred client for the purpose of the £5,000 maximum reward.

Separate legal entities within the same group may be treated as separate referrals if they have separate supplier agreements and independent hiring arrangements. Talent Today must confirm this in writing when accepting the referral.

11. Qualification time limits

For an Accepted Referral to qualify for the initial reward:

  • The referred business must sign Talent Today’s recruitment terms within 12 months of the referral acceptance date.

  • A qualifying IT contractor must start an assignment with the referred business within the same 12-month period.

If these events do not happen within 12 months, the referral will expire and no reward will be payable, unless Talent Today confirms an extension in writing.

Additional qualifying contractors must start within 24 months of the Initial Qualifying Contractor’s start date.

12. The initial £1,000 reward

A reward of £1,000 will become payable when all the following conditions have been met:

  • The referral has been accepted by Talent Today.

  • The referred business has signed Talent Today’s recruitment terms.

  • Talent Today has placed an IT contractor with the referred business.

  • The contractor started their assignment within the required 12-month period.

  • The contractor has completed three consecutive calendar months in the assignment.

  • All invoices relating to the contractor’s first three months have been paid in full by the referred business.

  • The relevant invoices are not subject to a dispute, refund, rebate, credit or chargeback.

  • The referral and placement continue to comply with these terms.

The first contractor to meet all these conditions will be treated as the “Initial Qualifying Contractor”.

If a contractor’s assignment ends before they complete three consecutive calendar months, no reward will become payable in relation to that contractor.

A later contractor may become the Initial Qualifying Contractor if they start within the original 12-month qualification period and meet all the conditions above.

13. Additional £500 rewards

After the initial reward has been earned, the referrer can receive £500 for each additional qualifying IT contractor placed with the referred client.

For an additional reward to become payable:

  • The contractor must be a different individual from any contractor who has already generated a reward.

  • The contractor must start within 24 months of the Initial Qualifying Contractor’s start date.

  • The contractor must complete three consecutive calendar months in their assignment.

  • All invoices relating to their first three months must have been paid in full.

  • The invoices must not be subject to a dispute, refund, rebate, credit or chargeback.

An extension, renewal, transfer or role change involving the same contractor will not count as an additional placement.

A contractor can generate only one reward, even if they move between roles, departments or related businesses.

Permanent placements, consultancy projects, statements of work and other non-contractor services are not included unless Talent Today agrees otherwise in writing.

14. Maximum reward

The maximum reward available for one referred client is £5,000, excluding any VAT that is properly chargeable.

This consists of:

  • One initial reward of £1,000.

  • Up to eight additional rewards of £500 each.

There is no stated limit on the number of different new businesses a person can refer, provided that each referral meets these terms.

Each referred client is subject to its own £5,000 maximum reward.

15. Reward payments

Rewards will normally be paid within 30 days after:

  • All relevant qualification conditions have been met.

  • Talent Today has confirmed that the reward is payable.

  • Talent Today has received any payment details, identity information or invoice reasonably required to process the payment.

Payment will be made to the individual or business named as the referrer in the Accepted Referral.

A reward cannot be transferred or assigned to another person or business without Talent Today’s written agreement.

Payments will normally be made by bank transfer to a UK bank account.

Where the referrer is a business, Talent Today may require a valid invoice before making payment.

Talent Today may make any tax or other deductions that it is legally required to make.

16. Tax and VAT

Referral rewards may be taxable.

Each referrer is responsible for:

  • Declaring any reward to HM Revenue and Customs where required.

  • Paying any income tax, corporation tax, National Insurance or other liabilities arising from the reward.

  • Obtaining their own tax advice where necessary.

The reward amounts stated in these terms are exclusive of VAT where VAT is properly chargeable.

A valid VAT invoice must be provided before VAT can be paid.

The £5,000 maximum reward excludes any VAT properly payable in addition to the reward.

Talent Today cannot provide personal tax advice.

17. Conflicts of interest and business approval

A referral reward is paid for making a genuine introduction. It must not be used to improperly influence a hiring, procurement or supplier-selection decision.

A referrer must not submit a referral or accept a reward if doing so would:

  • Breach their employment contract, consultancy agreement or another contractual obligation.

  • Breach the referred business’s gifts, hospitality, procurement, supplier or conflicts-of-interest policies.

  • Create an undisclosed conflict of interest.

  • Involve the misuse of confidential or commercially sensitive information.

  • Amount to an improper payment or inducement.

  • Breach the Bribery Act 2010 or another applicable law.

If the referrer is an employee, worker, officer, consultant, agent, adviser or representative of the referred business, they must disclose the potential reward to an appropriately authorised representative of that business.

The referrer must obtain written approval from that authorised representative before submitting the referral. The approval must come from someone other than the referrer who has authority to approve the arrangement.

If the referrer owns, controls, manages or has a financial interest in the referred business, the referral will not qualify unless Talent Today approves it in writing before it is submitted.

If the referrer is involved in recruitment supplier selection, procurement, hiring decisions or approving invoices for the referred business, they must disclose this on the form and provide evidence of written approval.

Talent Today may request evidence of disclosure and approval before accepting the referral or paying a reward.

Referrals involving public officials, public-sector procurement or an employee referring their own public-sector organisation will be subject to additional compliance checks and may be rejected.

18. Data protection

The referrer must have the contact’s permission before sharing their personal information with Talent Today.

The referrer should share only the information reasonably required to make the introduction.

The referrer must not provide:

  • Sensitive personal information.

  • Confidential information.

  • Information that is unrelated to the referral.

  • Purchased, scraped or unlawfully obtained contact data.

Talent Today will process personal information in accordance with its privacy notice:

[PENDING PRIVACY NOTICE LINK]

Talent Today may contact the referred person in connection with the introduction. The referred person can ask not to be contacted and can exercise their data protection rights as explained in the privacy notice.

A referred contact will not automatically be added to general marketing lists simply because they have been referred.

The referrer must not claim to represent Talent Today or send bulk or unsolicited marketing communications on Talent Today’s behalf.

19. Excluded referrals

No reward will be payable for:

  • Candidate or contractor referrals for individual vacancies.

  • Self-referrals.

  • Referrals to a business the referrer owns or controls, unless approved in advance.

  • Referrals submitted without the contact’s permission.

  • Existing clients or businesses that do not meet the new-client requirements.

  • Referrals submitted after Talent Today has already entered into substantive discussions with the business, except as permitted under section 5.

  • Referrals based on false, misleading, incomplete or fraudulent information.

  • Referrals generated through spam, purchased data, scraped data or unsolicited bulk marketing.

  • Referrals that breach a law, contract, professional obligation or organisational policy.

  • Placements that do not meet the qualifying conditions.

  • Referrals made by an ineligible person or business.

  • Referrals made by recruitment agencies or professional introducers without a separate written agreement.

20. Verification, fraud and repayment

Talent Today may verify the information supplied as part of a referral and may ask the referrer or referred business for supporting evidence.

A reward may be withheld while a genuine eligibility, payment, compliance or fraud concern is investigated.

If a reward has been paid based on false, misleading or fraudulent information, or if the reward was paid in error, Talent Today may require the recipient to repay it.

Talent Today may remove a participant from the programme where there are reasonable grounds to believe they have attempted to manipulate or misuse it.

21. No guarantee of a reward

Acceptance of a referral does not guarantee that:

  • The referred business will engage Talent Today.

  • The referred business will sign Talent Today’s terms.

  • A contractor will be placed.

  • A contractor will complete the qualifying period.

  • The referred business will pay the relevant invoices.

  • A reward will become payable.

Talent Today is responsible for managing the business relationship after the introduction.

The referrer is not expected to make a sales presentation, negotiate recruitment terms or participate in the recruitment process.

22. Changes to or closure of the programme

Talent Today may update, suspend or close Client Connect Rewards.

Any change or closure will apply to referrals submitted after the new terms or closure date.

An Accepted Referral will normally continue to be governed by the version of the terms in force when it was accepted.

Talent Today will not retrospectively remove a reward that has already been earned.

Talent Today may apply a change to an existing referral where this is reasonably required by law, regulation or to prevent fraud. Where reasonably possible, the affected referrer will be notified.

The latest version of these terms will be published on the Talent Today website with its effective date.

23. Complaints and queries

Questions about an Accepted Referral, eligibility decision or reward payment should be sent to:

Email: [Pending REFERRAL EMAIL]
Telephone: [Pending TELEPHONE NUMBER]

We recommend raising a query within 90 days of the relevant decision or expected payment date so that it can be investigated promptly.

This does not affect any legal rights the referrer may have.

Talent Today will review disputes in good faith and provide an explanation of its decision.

24. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence.

  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

  • Any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Subject to the above, Talent Today’s total liability arising from a referral will not exceed the total reward that should have been paid for that referral.

Talent Today will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from participation in the programme.

25. General terms

Participation in Client Connect Rewards does not create an employment, worker, agency, partnership or joint-venture relationship between the referrer and Talent Today.

If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

A failure or delay by Talent Today in enforcing a provision does not waive its right to enforce that provision later.

No person other than the referrer and Talent Today will have the right to enforce these terms.

The Accepted Referral email and these terms form the agreement between Talent Today and the referrer in relation to that referral.

26. Governing law

These terms and conditions, and any dispute or claim arising from or relating to Client Connect Rewards, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You and Talent Today agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim.
